Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers

On April 6, 2023, Sarah A. Johnson, Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer and Secretary of Artisan Partners Asset Management Inc. (the “Company”), provided notice of her intention to retire effective March 1, 2024. Laura E. Simpson, general counsel of Artisan Partners, will transition into the role of Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary. We expect Ms. Simpson’s appointment to take place in the fourth quarter of 2023.

On April 12, 2023, Artisan Partners Asset Management Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release reporting certain information about the Company’s preliminary assets under management as of March 31, 2023. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
