MILWAUKEE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mar. 3, 2015--
Artisan Partners Asset Management Inc. (NYSE: APAM) (the “Company” or
“Artisan Partners”) is announcing today that it has agreed to sell
3,831,550 shares of the Company’s Class A common stock (representing
approximately 5.2% of the Company’s outstanding equity) in an
underwritten public offering. The Company intends to use all of the net
proceeds of the offering to purchase 3,831,550 common units of Artisan
Partners Holdings LP, the Company’s direct subsidiary, from certain
limited partners of Artisan Partners Holdings. The limited partners who
are selling common units include certain of the Company’s officers and
employees and Artisan Investment Corporation, an entity controlled by
the Chairman of the Company’s board of directors. The completion of this
transaction will increase the Company’s public float of Class A common
stock by 3,831,550 shares.
Citigroup is acting as the sole underwriter for the offering.
